The Heroes Square in Budapest is one of the most famous of the city’s landmarks. Located at the end of a wide boulevard, Heroes Square is classified as a world heritage site since 1987. Most distinguished is the Millennium Monument.
Here you will find amazing architecture in the form of statues from Hungary’s history. In 1929 the square was ready and got its current name.
Under the Heroes Square, there is a large subway station. This station with its primary stretch Europe’s first electrified subway.
Adjacent to the Heroes Square is a museum that houses Hungary’s largest art collection (below).
