An abandoned hospital in the city of Pripyat, 10 kilometers north of Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Most places in Pripyat now have relatively harmless levels of radiation with one exception – The Hospital in Pripyat.
In the small town of Beelitz-Heilstätten was is a city within a city. This is now an abandoned hospital site and consists of around 60 major buildings. When this place was in use, it could be housing 12,000 patients at the same time.
Initially built as a tuberculosis hospital for children, Hohenlychen became the site of the Third Reich, where the premier medical orthopedic research took place. Hohenlychen is another hospital complex with a dramatic history.
