The area around Chernobyl is a gold mine for anyone who loves abandoned places. Today, we are looking into a larger supermarket in the city of Pripyat, which has been deserted for 30 years.
This supermarket was one of the largest in Pripyat. The grocery store was called “Voshod”, which means “sunrise” and is located right at the main square.
This is how it looks like in a plan economic shopping mall, 30 years later.
The word on the left of the store inside that reads “ПЕЧЕНЬЕ”, is pronounced “Per-cinya”, which means biscuit.
Really is so, so sad how so many people died and what happy lives they lived in such a happy city.
Have to see this place one day, well before mother nature takes over, and that’s not just because the Chernobyl mini-series was enjoyed a lot by myself
Hi and thank you for a great short language lesson!
Yes, I think you really should go there as fast as possible because many buildings won’t stand much longer. And entering them is the best part.
“мясо” (“Myaso”) means Meat.
